I love this Dark Roast "Not Today, Satan" brew. It makes Monday (today) bearable and every other day exhilarating! As an added bonus, I enjoy my Pastor John's Beans coffee in my special Seattle edition from "the other guy's." I like their mugs, but LOVE my NTS blend!
I thought I had already reviewed the coffee but I don’t mind reviewing again. I love the rich flavour and mild acidity of the coffee. I gifted a bag of beans to my son in law, and he loves it as well! I will be ordering again.
The week was starting with a smothering tension that smothered my world like a Frisco fog. The bean bin, the essence of existence, was as empty as my hardened soul. Desperate, I probed into the secret, backup supply. Surely I managed to keep one left-giving bag in reserve. Cleaned out! Like my wallet and my bank account- I had nothing. Ding, dong! My salvation arrived! Brown-clad angels of mercy delivered the stuff dreams are made of- the Black Bird of Blessed Beans brings peace and new life into my weary day. Grind. Brew. Ahhhh. I’ve been ordering Pastor John’s Blessed Beans for a while now and have never been disappointed! I like my beans a little darker and oilier than some, and Pastor John has accommodated me on any coffee I order. “Not Today Satan” was as bold and delicious as its title, yet not at all harsh or bitter. The rich flavors are smooth and pleasing to the palate. My 30 oz. mug gives me a welcoming dose of blessing every time it is filled with Pastor John’s Joe!

I have enjoyed Pastor John's coffee now for many a year. Most everything I have tasted, I have liked, most I have really liked. But only one blend I have LOVED. The first sip of, "Not Today Satan" and I said, "Hello, where have you been all my life." It's warm and bold and just what I was searching for. So, why the long face, Martin? My only sadness comes from not having the original iconic picture on the bag. While it doesn't stem the taste at all, I missed the joyful campiness of it all. Please, don't let my petty prejudice persuade you to purchase another coffee somewhere else. This is the real deal. It invigorates the individual with the inessential inspirational ingredients to encounter anything the day might bring -- even the big, bad guy himself. If you can beat Satan, you can surely conquer Steve in accounting and his incessant droning on about his last weekend adventure. Just sip and feel the power fill you, filling you with peace and power. Yes. It is THAT good.
"Not Today Satan" is a tempting but righteous blend that has me invigorated to face the wiles of whatever bedevilments may seek to beguile me this day. A rich, favorable, robust roast, "Not Today Satan" will cast away the evil presence of that morning fog, lifting your spirits to loftier heights and glory. It's really good.
Love it! Only downside -- the great artwork didn't arrive on the bag -- so I will be printing it myself! Great coffee!
Pastor John’s Blessed Beans is our “go-to” coffee. We love a dark roasted oily bean. Pastor John’s “Not Today Satan” hits the mark every time. We can’t keep enough of it, even though we buy 4 pounds at a time. We haven’t found any other coffee that checks off all the flavor notes.
We have been using it to make expresso and cappucino and it is absolutely fantastic. Laugh every morning at the name as I making our drinks
My Tuesday morning coffee friend and I both agree this is really good coffee. There’s no bitter taste at all! It’s rich and smooth with no aftertaste. I definitely recommend this blend!!

This Dark and Smooth blend of coffee needs no additions of cream or sugar. It is a rich blend of flavor that is ready to fuel you for a day of Sermontating or just reading. It is my new favorite.
I crave dark roast coffee and 'Not today, Satan' does not disappoint. Full, rich but not bitter. Other dark roasts are suddenly tasting weak and listless. I don't have a picture of the coffee because I drink it as soon as it is percolated and I don't stop until the pot is empty. I am a huge fan of this coffee and the roaster, too. Thankful for this stuff!
