Awake! Awake! Advent Blend! - Medium

This roast was created especially for the Advent Consecrate Box, and I am very excited to share it with you. 

The roast has notes of Roasted Hazelnut, Golden Raisin, Star Fruit, Citrus, and Black Tea.  

It is a coffee that is great black, but also handles cream and sugar like a pro.  

The body is on the lighter side, and makes this a great morning cup! 

We are proud to offer Café de Mujeres for a second year and extend our commitment to women in coffee. The 212 Chiapas-area women growers who contributed coffee to this lot work just 1.8 hectares of land on average. They are smallholders, but they are united in their effort to eliminate gender inequality and expand economic opportunities for women in Mexico.

Coffee from Chiapas, the southernmost state in Mexico where the climate is humid and tropical, is distinguished for its delicate flavors and citrusy acidity. Café de Mujer’s offers warm nuttiness, dried fruit sweetness with a tea-like body. We consider it an exquisite showcase of the effort and talents these women have put into their product.

This Strictly High Grown (SHG) unroasted coffee blends Typica, Bourbon, Caturra, and Catuai varietals. The coffee cherries were hand-depulped, fermented in small tanks and fully sundried. During dry milling, the lot was further sorted to European Preparation (EP) specifications with a minimum screen size of 15 and above and a maximum of eight defects within 300 grams.
